The vineyards for this flavorful Syrah are located in the central part of the Napa Valley (primarily Rutherford) where the warmer climate produces grapes with deep purple color and complex varietal characteristics. Earthy flavors and a very smooth finish combine to create a very rich, well balanced wine. Aged 20 months in French oak barrels, this very special wine is a combination of two outstanding years, 2000 and 2001.
