Description of Langhe Chardonnay
Soil Characteristics
This soil has a high percentage of silt and sand, and produces a well-balanced Chardonnay with good structure and a bouquet marked by ripe fruit.
Production process
Fermentation is in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, during which the Chardonnay is kept close to 18° C. After completion, the wine remains on the lees at about 18-20° C for up to 3 months; during this period the malolactic fermentation takes place. The number of lots undergoing malolactic fermentation depends upon the quality of fruit in each growing year.
Serving recommendations
With its remarkable structure and fruit-driven style, this wine can be enjoyed with a wide range of dishes. We recommend enjoying the wine in its youth, although brief ageing will result in additional complexity.
